I was the official event photographer for the BC Book Prizes’ annual events for a number of years (2012–2016). The Lieutenant Governor’s BC Book Prizes Gala is a celebration of finalist authors, illustrators and publishers, taking place in the Spring. The Finalist Soirée was a more casual event taking place shortly after the announcement of the shortlisted authors.
During the events I roaming the venue to capture candid and posed moments with finalists, publishers, and attendees. At the Gala, I photographed each award presentation and observed proper protocols with the Lieutenant Governor of BC in attendance.
