The Peak

The Peak is SFU’s campus newspaper, published weekly since 1965. It is distributed at SFU campus locations in Burnaby, Surrey, and Vancouver (including Harbour Centre, Woodward’s, and the Segal School of Business) year round.

I was an Arts Contributor from 2011–2014 while I attended SFU as an undergraduate student. I also attended the Canadian University Press national student journalism conference in Toronto in 2013 as a Peak representative.

I pitched stories, conducted interviews, and delivered content to deadline. I primarily wrote about literary events and book news relating to the local writing community, and I had a regular series featuring SFU authors.
